What's new
Recent updates to QuizBao. The App Store version can arrive a little later than Android and web after Apple's review.
Big banks, big backups
November 2026 · 1.0.501
- Banks with many images are faster and steadier: images are stored separately, so starting practice and turning pages are quicker and use much less memory
- Fixed black screens and crashes when importing or exporting backups, ZIP files and Word documents of several hundred MB
- Excel files with tens of thousands of questions no longer freeze, and exported files are much smaller
- Merging a backup from another device now brings notes from both, mistakes, practice and exam history, and folders. Edited questions update rather than duplicate
- iCloud backup works at any size: each backup is one complete file, images included
- True/false answers at the end of a sentence are recognized
Folders and search
November 2026 · 1.0.473
- Put banks in folders: expand or collapse them, practice a whole folder in one tap, and filter mistakes and statistics by folder
- Sort banks by recently used, recently changed or name
- Practice a single question from search results, or jump to its place in the bank
- Passages sit side by side with questions when your screen is wide, and you can switch by hand
- AI explanations name the option as well as the letter, and use the letters you see on screen when options are shuffled
- Smoother pinch to zoom on notes, particularly on older tablets
Passage questions
October 2026 · 1.0.441
- New passage questions: one passage with several questions, shown on a split screen
- Notes on a passage are shared by all its questions, and shuffling keeps them together
- Drag to reorder questions in a bank, and options in the editor
- AI question generation makes a key-point list first so a set covers the whole material; a second run starts with what hasn't been covered
- Reading material with selectable text is now free
AI answers, AI questions, Word exams
October 2026 · 1.0.409
- AI answer filling: two different AIs solve each question separately, and an answer is filled in only when they agree
- Questions from your material: AI writes questions with answers, explanations and source pages; three samples are free
- Export a bank as Word, a Word exam paper, Excel or ZIP
- Search shows where a question sits in its bank; move or copy questions to a chosen position
- Excel import is about ten times faster
English and Traditional Chinese
October 2026 · 1.0.386
- The app is now available in English and Traditional Chinese, following your system language or chosen in Settings
- English and Traditional Chinese question files import directly, with their own headings and question types
- AI explanations, study analysis and import reports follow your language
